How can I fix my Call of Duty 4 multiplayer?

I got Call of Duty 4 for my P.C. for Christmas and the multiplayer doesn’t work. Single plyer and everything else works fine.. since I have Vista when I click multiplayer it acts like it is starting up then it says “iw3mp has stopped working”.. Please tell me what I can do. I really want to play the multiplayer without having to buy the Xbox 360 version of it.

Your firewall must be blocking it, same happened to me and we had to end up having the comp factory reseted because vista has bugs in the firewall.
